Data Lead
The Data Lead will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and efficiency of data flows by establishing processes for monitoring, validation, and continuous auditing. They must create automations and checklists to prevent failures, ensure data quality, and structure deliveries aligned with the schedule. A proactive stance is expected in resolving blockers, maintaining clear communication with peer teams, clients, and the team’s technical leadership, thereby promoting excellence and reliability in data solutions.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Ensure data flows operate correctly and without failure by implementing monitoring routines (checklists and automations) that guarantee quality and visibility over stored and generated data.
* Monitor data ingestion, processing, and consumption to prevent bottlenecks.
* Maintain data routines and quality standards feeding the system. Daily evaluation of data from integrations (Neogrid), monthly pyramid validation (Colgate), and review of other data sources.
* Create and track data and reporting delivery schedules.
* Design and oversee delivery and validation workflows, aligning them with clients’ macro timelines (primarily Colgate) — ensuring key calendar flows: target (generation, internal validation, client validation, importation, and import validation); outcome (daily updates, submission and validation of closing DBD); points (rule validation, calculation validation, and generated results validation), among others.
* Define and implement data validation rules and quality standards — such as rules for detecting duplicate information and processes, data format and consistency — automate checks, correct errors, and ensure data meets client requirements before delivery.
* Establish continuous auditing and monitoring processes by implementing scripts to remove duplicates, standardize formats, and validate inconsistencies. Configure error alerts, periodically review samples, and correct possible errors prior to final delivery to clients.
* Create and maintain operational checklists for the team (ETL, dashboards, data analysis).
* Create and audit the team’s use of action checklists — documenting routines to prevent execution failures.
* Lead alignment and progress-tracking meetings with the team, ensuring technical guidance on projects and enabling validation, alignment, and presentation of results — without requiring participation from other leaders.
* Resolve blockers impacting the team and deliveries, securing necessary resources so all requests are fulfilled, and ensuring cross-departmental relationships and delivery flows are validated.
* Ensure client requirements are clearly understood, captured, documented, and met — from initial briefing and business rule specifications through data import and storage alignment — and guarantee all program-related rules are thoroughly documented.
* Maintain regular communication to align expectations and track project progress; establish reporting and alignment routines with other departments and clients to present developed solutions, improvements, and resolutions of sensitive issues.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
A degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields is required.
A postgraduate degree in Business Management, Leadership, or Statistics is preferred, along with experience in trade marketing or incentive campaigns.
