ABOUT THE POSITION – TECHNICAL ESTIMATOR
We seek a professional to directly prepare technical and commercial proposals, performing project analyses, quantity takeoffs, material and labor estimates, and organizing the company’s standard cost spreadsheets.
This role is critical to ensuring the quality and accuracy of budgets submitted to clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Analysis
Reading and interpreting project drawings (DWG, PDF)
Identifying fire protection systems (hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, emergency lighting, etc.)
Verifying material and equipment compatibility
Reviewing descriptive specifications and technical scopes
Quantity Takeoffs and Surveys
Surveying materials (pipes, fittings, supports, etc.)
Quantifying devices (sprinkler heads, hydrants, detectors, sirens, etc.)
Identifying required materials and services
Completing the company’s standard cost spreadsheet
Proposal Preparation
Preparing technical scope documents for client submission
Organizing cost, material, and labor information
Supporting the commercial department
Interfacing with procurement and engineering departments as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Completed High School Education
Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to read technical documents effectively
Logical reasoning and analytical capability
Willingness to learn about fire protection systems
Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory)
Technical degree in Occupational Safety, Building Construction, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (in progress or completed)
Civil Engineering degree (in progress or completed)
Experience with quantity takeoffs and reading project drawings
Experience in engineering or industrial installations
Knowledge of NBR 13714, 10897, 17240 (preferred)
Currently pursuing a Civil Engineering degree
WORK LOCATION
Votorantim/SP – On-site
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary: BRL 2,200.00 (starting salary with salary progression)
Transportation Allowance: BRL 125.00
