Reporting to the Technology Manager, the Data Scientist III role involves... Key day\-to\-day responsibilities:* Support the manager in managing and planning area activities, sizing required resources to efficiently, effectively, and productively meet project demands. * Provide technical leadership for cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and full\-stack development; define technical scope and autonomously develop projects per established development project guidelines, identify issues impacting proper project execution, propose technical alternatives, and ensure alignment with procedures for technology innovation projects. * Independently implement proposed AI and ML projects, prepare documentation, and modify/enhance existing solutions to ensure on\-time and on\-budget delivery. * Research and select the most appropriate technological resources for AI and ML projects under development, considering business models, technological characteristics, and other factors, to ensure project development excellence according to required quality standards. * Collaborate with internal FIT project partners and external partners during project development, gathering information and/or providing requested technical support. * Provide technical support to other company departments as needed—in hardware, software, hardware/software integration, and dedicated expert systems—to enable training and project development. * Define and/or recommend and/or apply techniques and methodologies related to project quality, pursuing continuous improvement. * Act as a knowledge multiplier by providing technical support to peers. Experience we seek to add to our team:* Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees completed in Computer Science or a related technical field. A Ph.D. in AI or a related field is desirable. * AI Ethics * Programming languages such as Java, Python, C \#, Go, PyTorch, Jupyter Notebook * Concepts of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (new algorithms, tools, publications, etc.) * Analysis and engineering of large datasets (SQL/noSQL, Tableau, KPIs, Metrics) * Understanding of security, scalability, performance, and availability design principles for AI models * Experience working in fast\-paced, agile development environments (Agile project management methodologies) * Network security and infrastructure (MLOps and DeepOps) * Data preparation, modeling, simulation, testing, and application development processes * Ability to reuse existing AI models on cloud platforms such as Azure, Google, Amazon * Experience with AI projects involving tabular data, image analysis, text analysis (NLP), and audio analysis * Implementation of AI projects in industrial environments using data and M2M correlations * Advanced/Fluent English Desirable:* Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit\-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.) * Deep learning (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers) * Experience handling large volumes of data (Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, etc.) Job Category Design, Process \& Technology Engineering Required Skills: Optional Skills: Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
