Preventive and corrective maintenance on light and heavy vehicles **Responsibilities** Serve as a technical reference for fleet maintenance by performing preventive and corrective mechanical services on light and heavy vehicles, while also promoting the technical upskilling of the maintenance team. Contribute to standardizing workshop processes, disseminating best practices, developing professionals, and enhancing fleet reliability, safety, and availability. **Main Activities** * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance services on light and heavy vehicles in the fleet, in accordance with established technical procedures. * Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and brake system failures, identifying root causes and defining appropriate technical solutions. * Replace and repair mechanical components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and company quality standards. * Support technical inspections and vehicle surveys, contributing to operational fleet release. * Record all interventions in Work Orders and maintenance management systems, ensuring information traceability. * Ensure service execution complies with safety regulations, internal procedures, and manufacturers’ technical recommendations. * Plan, develop, and deliver theoretical and practical technical training aimed at improving the maintenance team’s capabilities. * Develop training materials, manuals, checklists, standardized operating procedures, and maintenance routines. * Lead the technical onboarding process for new workshop employees. * Conduct periodic technical evaluations of the team to identify training needs and propose development plans. * Act as a technical mentor, supporting mechanics’ professional growth and facilitating knowledge sharing. * Promote a culture of safety, quality, organization, and continuous improvement within workshop activities. * Support the implementation of new maintenance processes, technologies, and methodologies. * Contribute to standardizing maintenance practices to increase productivity, service quality, and reduce operational failures. **Qualifications \- Education and Professional Experience** **Education:** * Completed high school. **Professional Experience:** * Proven experience in maintenance of heavy vehicles, trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles. * Experience working in transportation, logistics, or fleet maintenance companies. * Experience maintaining medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines. * Desired experience delivering technical training, team development, or acting as a knowledge multiplier. **Requirements, Technical Qualifications, and Key Competencies \- Differentiators** **Mandatory Requirements:** * Knowledge of diesel electronic injection systems. * Knowledge of pneumatic systems, braking systems (ABS, EBS), automotive electrical systems, and mechanical and automated transmissions. * Familiarity with regulatory norms applicable to maintenance activities, especially NR\-12 and NR\-35, where applicable. * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office for recordkeeping, controls, and reporting. * Brazilian National Driver’s License (CNH) category B or higher. **Differentiators:** * Completed technical education in Mechanics, Automotive Mechanics, Mechatronics, or related fields. * Technical course in Diesel Mechanics or Automotive Mechanics. * Prior experience as an instructor, knowledge multiplier, technical tutor, or corporate educator. * Knowledge of forklift and cargo-handling equipment maintenance. * Experience with computerized maintenance and fleet management systems. * Instructor Training Course, Training Methodology Course, or pedagogical qualification.
