The Corporate Events Director is the strategist responsible for positioning the organization as a benchmark for high-impact experiences in Rio de Janeiro, leading the attraction, planning, and execution of large-scale events.

The **Corporate Events Director** is the strategist responsible for positioning the organization as a benchmark for high-impact experiences in Rio de Janeiro. Based in Copacabana, you will lead the attraction, planning, and execution of large-scale events, ensuring that Rio’s hospitality standard meets global executive efficiency. This role requires seamless interaction with CEOs, international delegations, and key suppliers across Rio’s event industry.
**Key Responsibilities**
* **Strategy and Business Development:** Identify and attract high-level congresses, conventions, and corporate events to the Copacabana region.
* **Customer Experience Management:** Develop customized event concepts leveraging Rio’s iconic setting as a competitive differentiator.
* **Operations and Logistics Management:** Oversee setup, catering, audiovisual production, and protocol—ensuring millimeter-precise execution.
* **Financial Management (P\&L):** Prepare complex budgets, control operational costs, and maximize profitability per project.
* **Institutional Relations:** Interface with the Rio Convention \& Visitors Bureau, municipal agencies (CET\-Rio, Municipal Guard), and hotel associations.
* **Team Leadership:** Manage coordinators, producers, and an extensive network of third-party service providers under high pressure.
* **Protocol and Security:** Implement security and hospitality protocols for government authorities and C\-Level executives.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* **Experience:** Minimum of 12 years in the events industry, including at least 5 years in director-level roles within 5-star hotels or major live marketing agencies.
* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Public Relations, or Business Administration. An MBA in Business Management or Marketing is a strong advantage.
* **Languages:** **Fluent English** (mandatory for international negotiations); Spanish or French are significant advantages.
* **Hard Skills:**
* Proficiency in project management tools and CRMs.
* In-depth knowledge of the logistics and hospitality infrastructure in Rio’s South Zone.
* Familiarity with incentive laws and municipal regulations governing street or waterfront events.
* **Soft Skills:**
* Finesse and diplomacy when engaging high-net-worth individuals.
* Exceptional resilience to handle the unpredictability of large-scale events.
* Strong negotiation and persuasion capabilities.
Compensation: R$54\.000,00 per month
