Focus on operational efficiency and environmental safety Description: OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR Location: Rio de Janeiro \- RJ Sector: Waste Management and Treatment WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU: We seek a professional to serve as an Operations Supervisor under a waste management contract. This role requires strong leadership, organizational ability, and the capacity to ensure smooth operational execution while consistently adhering to environmental and safety regulations. REQUIREMENTS: * Technical degree in Environmental Science (mandatory). * Experience in waste management (collection, transportation, storage, treatment, and/or disposal). * Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Regulatory Standards is desirable. * Experience in leadership and team management. * Basic proficiency in control tools (Excel, management systems, reporting). * Strong communication and organizational skills. ADDITIONAL ASSETS: * Experience in large-scale contracts or industrial environments. * Familiarity with performance indicators (KPIs). RESPONSIBILITIES: * Operational team management: lead, guide, and supervise staff involved in waste collection, handling, transportation, and disposal activities. * Equipment management: monitor fleet and machinery availability, usage, and preventive/corrective maintenance. * Inventory control: track materials and supplies used in operations (PPEs, packaging, bulk bags, tools, etc.), ensuring proper organization and adequate stock replenishment. * Activity monitoring: record, track, and report performance indicators, goal achievement, and operational quality. * Client relationship management: maintain transparent and effective communication, promptly addressing client needs and resolving issues efficiently. * Process and results management: ensure operational efficiency, continuously seeking procedural improvements and cost reduction. * Safety and environmental culture: uphold environmental and occupational safety regulations, promoting team awareness. * Proactivity and ownership mindset: make sound decisions, anticipate needs, and assume full responsibility for overall operations.
