**Roles and Responsibilities**
* Define, together with external engineers and the customer, the appropriate maintenance scope for the engine, participating in root cause investigations for engine removals and in implementing improvements that enhance engine time-on-wing and improve internal KPIs such as test & assembly defects.
* Lead projects for the incorporation of new technologies and the application on the shop floor of new products, processes, tools, or equipment.
* Develop and transfer theoretical/conceptual knowledge of the technical disciplines involved in the processes.
* Lead resolution of complex problems using the FLIGHT DECK methodology through applicable tools (APPS, PSR, Kaizen).
* Collaborate with internal team members and/or more senior external team members on issues outside defined parameters/instructions.
* Provide technical support to the production team on technical matters.
* Build strong relationships with the customer and serve as the interface between the customer and GE.
* Personal ability to work across different shifts depending on demands and projects.
* Availability to work across different shifts and plants (Rio, Petrópolis & Três Rios)
**Required Qualifications**
* This position requires experience supporting the shop floor in process improvement activities.
* Prior experience in engine testing processes on test benches and troubleshooting.
* Completed academic degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aeronautical Engineering.
* Fluent English is mandatory.
* Engineering degree with active CREA registration.
* Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma; practical experience is desirable.
