Description
The **Accounting Analyst** is responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data, preparing accounting and tax reports, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations, performing bank reconciliations, supporting budget preparation and financial statement drafting.
Additionally, the professional must possess knowledge of tax legislation, experience in monthly and annual accounting closings, ability to work with accounting systems, and intermediate Excel proficiency.
It is essential that the Accounting Analyst be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, possess strong communication skills, and work effectively in teams.
Perform complex accounting reconciliations.
Classification and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
Monthly and annual accounting closing
Preparation of trial balances, general ledger, income statements (DRE), and other accounting statements
Control and verification of accounting documentation
Review of journal entries prepared by the team
Preparation and submission of ancillary obligations (ECD, ECF, DEFIS, PER/DCOMP, among others)
Participation in and support for internal and external audit processes
Communication with auditors, document submission, and response to technical requests
Integration with Tax and HR departments when required Skills and Attitudes
Advanced accounting knowledge
Experience in account reconciliation
Critical analytical capability
Knowledge of accounting standards and tax legislation
Ability to prepare financial reports
Proficiency in Alterdata accounting systems
**Desired Education and Experience:**
Completed degree in Accounting Sciences
Prior experience in the role of Accounting Assistant or Accounting Analyst;
Experience with companies under Real Profit and Presumed Profit regimes
Experience in accounting firms
ERP system proficiency (Alterdata or Questor will be considered a differentiator)
Proficiency in reconciliations and closing routines
Solid knowledge of ECD and ECF
Intermediate or advanced Excel proficiency
