Job Summary:
An Occupational Safety professional responsible for informing, guiding, and implementing accident and occupational disease prevention procedures on pavement construction sites.

This position is open to residents of Niterói, São Gonçalo, Maricá, and surrounding areas.

:Inform the employer, through a technical opinion, about hazards present in the workplace, as well as advise them on measures for hazard elimination or neutralization;
Inform workers about the risks associated with their activities, as well as measures for hazard elimination or neutralization;
Analyze work methods and processes to identify risk factors for occupational accidents, occupational diseases, and work-related illnesses, as well as the presence of environmental agents harmful to workers, proposing their elimination or control;
Implement occupational safety and hygiene procedures and evaluate achieved results, adapting implemented strategies to integrate preventive practices into planning, thereby benefiting workers;
Implement occupational accident, occupational disease, and work-related illness prevention programs in workplaces, involving workers, monitoring and evaluating their outcomes, and continuously suggesting updates while establishing procedures to be followed;
Organize discussions, meetings, campaigns, seminars, lectures, training sessions, and other didactic and pedagogical resources to disseminate occupational safety and hygiene regulations and technical topics, aiming to prevent occupational accidents, occupational diseases, and work-related illnesses;
Implement occupational safety standards related to construction projects, including application, renovation, physical layout, and workflow design, ensuring compliance with occupational safety and hygiene requirements—including those applicable to third parties;
Forward regulations, ordinances, documentation, statistical data, analysis and evaluation results, and technical and educational support materials—as well as other dissemination materials—to relevant departments and units for worker awareness and self-development;
Recommend, request, and inspect fire protection equipment, audiovisual and instructional resources, and other essential materials in accordance with current legislation and recommended technical specifications, evaluating their performance;
Collaborate on environmental activities by advising on industrial waste treatment and disposal, encouraging and raising worker awareness regarding its importance to life;
Guide activities performed by contracted companies concerning occupational safety and hygiene procedures stipulated in legislation or specified in service contracts;
Carry out occupational safety and hygiene activities using scientific methods and techniques, observing legal and institutional provisions aimed at eliminating, controlling, or permanently reducing occupational accident risks and improving workplace conditions to safeguard workers' physical and mental integrity;
Collect and analyze occupational accident, occupational disease, and work-related illness statistics; calculate their frequency and severity to adjust preventive actions, regulations, and other technical provisions enabling collective and individual protection;
Coordinate and collaborate with human resources departments, providing them with technical risk assessment results for work areas and activities to support personnel-level preventive measures;
Inform workers and employers about unhealthy, hazardous, and arduous activities within the company, their specific risks, and measures or alternatives for eliminating or neutralizing such risks;
Assess workplace environmental conditions and issue technical opinions to support safe work planning and organization for workers;
Coordinate and collaborate with agencies and entities involved in preventing occupational accidents, occupational diseases, and work-related illnesses;
Participate in seminars, training sessions, congresses, and courses to foster professional exchange and development;
Conduct checklists;
Field inspections;
Distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE);
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent CLT contract
Compensation: R$5.000,00 - R$5.189,00 per month
