




A growing multinational organization is seeking an Accounting Manager with solid technical expertise and strategic capabilities. The professional will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information, leading closing processes, enhancing internal controls, and directly coordinating accounting activities for a corporate partnership (joint venture). This position requires on-site work in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The role demands a balanced profile—50% strategic and 50% hands-on—with the ability to transition seamlessly between operational execution and critical analysis to support business decisions. The environment is dynamic, performance-oriented, and requires strong interaction with internal and external stakeholders both in Brazil and abroad. **Key Responsibilities** -------------------------------- * Lead the monthly accounting close process, ensuring compliance, timeliness, accuracy, and adherence to corporate policies. * Prepare, review, and monitor monthly financial reports, including detailed variance analyses and performance assessments. * Perform and supervise mandatory accounting reconciliations, ensuring the integrity of financial statements. * Conduct P&L analysis and provide relevant insights to support decision-making. * Serve as the accounting lead for financial and operational management of a joint venture, including expense allocation, OPEX review, and alignment of monthly results. * Integrate data between internal systems and global corporate systems, ensuring consistency across platforms. * Design, review, and enhance accounting and finance policies, workflows, and procedures, involving internal teams and external vendors. * Engage with Commercial, Audit, Legal, Tax, and Global Finance teams to ensure alignment and governance. * Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency, leading transformation initiatives. * Participate in projects related to transition, integration, or internalization of accounting routines, as applicable. **Professional Requirements** ---------------------------- * Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Audit (Big4 or mid-sized firms) or as Controller/Accounting Coordinator/Accounting Manager. * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences. * Proficiency in Brazilian accounting standards, ancillary obligations, and reporting practices. * Proven experience in B2B operations, with understanding of commercial dynamics, margins, and financial impacts. * Experience managing joint ventures will be considered a highly relevant differentiator. * Consistent track record working in multinational environments and interacting with international stakeholders. **Technical Skills** ------------------------ * Advanced Excel proficiency and solid experience with corporate ERPs. * Strong analytical capability, critical thinking, and ability to solve complex problems. * Ability to manage financial information with precision, reliability, and urgency. **Behavioral Competencies** -------------------------------- * Executive presence, with high interpersonal skills across multiple hierarchical levels. * Balanced profile combining strategic leadership with practical day-to-day involvement. * Excellent organizational skills, sense of priority, and data-driven decision-making. * Owner mindset, autonomy, ethics, and commitment to quality. * Collaboration, transparency, and clear communication—including with international audiences. **Languages** ----------- * Fluent Portuguese. * Advanced English (required). * Spanish is a plus.
