Job Summary: The Bartender is responsible for the entire customer experience at the bar counter and for the swift delivery of orders to the dining area, combining the art of mixology with operational management. The Bartender is responsible for the entire customer experience at the bar counter and for the swift delivery of orders to the dining area. We seek a professional who combines the art of mixology with impeccable operational management. **1\. Responsibilities and Duties** * **Mise en Place:** Daily preparation of ingredients (syrups, juices, garnishes, and pre-preparations), ensuring freshness and organization of the station. * **Cocktail Execution:** Preparation of classic and original cocktails strictly following technical specifications to guarantee flavor and cost standardization. * **Inventory and COGS Control:** Constant monitoring of expiration dates and strict control of waste. Daily counts of high-value bottles and ingredients. * **Customer Service:** Direct reception and service at the bar counter, using sales techniques to suggest cocktails and pairings (upselling). * **Care and Hygiene:** Maintaining cleanliness of the bar counter, utensils, and equipment throughout the shift, in compliance with health inspection regulations. * **Order Management:** Organizing order tickets to ensure cocktails are served swiftly, respecting the order of arrival and the establishment’s standard service time. **2\. Behavioral Traits (Soft Skills)** * **Agility and Dexterity:** Ability to maintain pace and technical quality even during high-volume periods (rush). * **Attention to Detail:** Precision in portioning (using measured dispensers) and in the aesthetic finishing of cocktails. * **Proactivity:** Anticipating restocking needs and keeping the workstation fully functional at all times. * **Charisma and Hospitality:** Ease in interacting with guests, being communicative while maintaining a professional demeanor. * **Team Spirit:** Effective communication with kitchen staff and servers to ensure seamless coordination between bar and dining area. **3\. Experience and Requirements** * **Proven Experience:** Prior experience working behind the bar in high-turnover bars or cocktail-focused restaurants. * **Technical Knowledge:** Proficiency in preparation methods (shaken, stirred, built) and basic knowledge of spirits, wines, and beers. * **Technical Specifications:** Ability to follow and adhere precisely to specified weights and measurements. * **Availability:** Flexibility for night shifts, holidays, and weekends. * **Preferred Qualification:** Specialized training in mixology or customer service.
