Participate in meetings, discussion groups, and process improvement initiatives related to molds and improvements aimed at reducing scrap, waste, and variations that may affect the process.**Responsibilities** ==================== Responsibilities: * Check production scheduling for mold preparation for vulcanization, ensuring molds are ready for production with minimal lead time. * Inspect the overall condition of molds (cleanliness, segments, base, alignment, locking mechanisms, etc.) at the press and perform cleaning or maintenance as required, including blasting with appropriate machinery and replacing or refurbishing segments, bases, locking mechanisms, and guide rules. * Apply basic welding knowledge to perform repairs and assembly of mold segments. * Perform mold maintenance outside the press: remove mold from the rack, transport it via elevator to the maintenance table, blast, lock/unlock, carry out necessary repairs, and protect with appropriate plastic covering. * Control receipt of new molds, inspecting general packaging conditions and potential transport damage prior to unloading, and verifying segments and accessories against drawings. * Assemble new molds according to matrix specifications: place segments onto the base according to numbering, adjust locking mechanisms, drill, fix, and/or weld guide and fixing rules. * Maintain mold maintenance history, recording performed services and replacements at the press. * Issue purchase requisitions for materials and tools, following up with Procurement. * Assist in basic equipment maintenance (when necessary), performing minor repairs and requesting/monitoring third-party services. * Keep workplace, molds, and equipment organized and clean. * Safeguard the environment, committed to preventing all types of pollution by complying with applicable legislation (Federal, State, and Corporate), as well as practices, regulations, procedures, and controls of the Integrated Management Process for: Quality. * Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment, contributing to the implementation of continuous improvements across all Bandag activities and processes, aiming for operational excellence. * Be responsible for 5S in the area, committing to weekly audits and sector organization. * Be responsible for updating area indicators, entering updates into the system monthly and forwarding them to the immediate supervisor and Plant Supervisor, as well as posting them on the visible management board for the sector. * Understand the company’s mission, values, policies, and objectives, adhering to established internal standards, instructions, and procedures to ensure quality, occupational safety, environmental protection, and preventive medicine—thus contributing to people development, process optimization, sustainable development, and improved service to internal and external customers. * Perform repairs, as needed, on damaged skids within the production process. * Perform other related and inherent duties as directed and requested by the immediate supervisor. * Occasionally handle material movement using industrial vehicles, complying with company safety and environmental regulations. **Minimum Qualifications** ========================== Education: Mechanical Technical Course.
