




**Job Category** ================ Production & Skilled Trades**Position Summary** ==================== This position’s primary mission is to support the production area in operations, identifying and resolving issues related to the quality of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products, as well as contributing to cost reduction, improving product quality, increasing productivity, and reducing rejection, waste, and scrap—aiming for continuous process improvement.**Responsibilities** ==================== Responsibilities: Support raw material inventory, splicing, extrusion, vulcanization, finishing processes; maintain records of process changes and non-conformities; resolve issues and/or involve responsible parties. Monitor daily progress of quality indicators—such as scrap, FPA, customer complaints, waste, and process rejection—and propose and implement actions to minimize/reduce/eliminate these metrics. Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement teams using statistical tools such as Ishikawa, FTA, 5 Whys, FMEA, etc. Weigh scrap and flash at the end of each shift and record data in the SAP system. Perform finished product inspection (“FPA”), analyze defects, and propose action plans. Conduct flash studies. Perform Blow-point analysis. Participate in and implement corrective actions arising from internal and external audit non-conformities. Evaluate and identify segregated materials, ensure proper product disposition, and reuse materials where possible, with the aim of controlling and minimizing scrap when necessary. Be familiar with plant production process documents (e.g., PGIs) and corporate documents, verifying compliance with these requirements at the factory level; arrange for their revision when required. Provide occasional operational support activities, such as operating forklifts, handling molds, and participating in vulcanization line operations. Maintain a clean and organized workplace, ensuring proper care and maintenance of equipment used, thereby keeping them in optimal working condition. Support the Integrated Management team in implementing 5S. Understand the company’s mission, values, policies, and objectives, adhering to established internal standards, instructions, and procedures to guarantee quality, occupational safety, environmental protection, and preventive medicine—contributing to people development, process optimization, sustainable development, and improved service to internal and external customers. Protect the environment, committed to preventing all types of pollution by complying with applicable legislation (Federal, State, and Corporate), as well as with practices, regulations, procedures, and controls of the Integrated Management Process covering: Quality; Occupational Safety and Health; and Environment—collaborating in the implementation of continuous improvements across all Bandag activities and processes, aiming for operational excellence. Carry out other related and inherent duties as directed and requested by the immediate supervisor. **Minimum Qualifications** ========================== Completed Technical Education – Field of Study: **Chemistry.
