Job Summary: A fiber optic technical assistant provides support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks, prepares cables for splicing and connectorization, and assists with network testing. A fiber optic technical assistant is a professional who provides support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks. **Responsibilities:** * **Assisting in fiber optic cable installation:** Help with cable routing and securing on poles, conduits, or underground. Assist in organizing cables within splice or termination boxes. * **Preparation for splicing and connectorization:** Clean cables and fibers. Cut, strip, and prepare cables for splicing or connectorization. Handle tools such as cleavers, strippers, pliers, etc. * **Assisting with testing:** Support technicians in operating equipment including OTDR, power meter, and fiber identifier. Verify continuity, signal loss, and signal quality. * **Preventive and corrective maintenance:** Participate in inspections and maintenance activities to prevent failures. Assist in identifying and resolving cable breaks or signal faults. * **Workplace organization and safety:** Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) according to safety regulations. * **Material transportation and organization:** Load and organize materials and tools in company vehicles. Inspect and prepare installation and maintenance kits. **Requirements:** Completed high school education; Willingness to learn and work onsite; Commitment and responsibility. **Salary + Hazard Pay (30%)** **Benefits:** Medical and dental assistance; Meal allowance: $25.00 (per day) Salary: R$1.631,00 + 30% Hazard Pay Transportation allowance; TotalPass.
