Job Summary: This Data Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security and efficiency of subsea systems through the integration and maintenance of databases and computer systems. Work with programming languages VBA, SQL, and PYTHON. **Posting Date:** 6 Apr 2026 **City:** Macae' **Location:**Macae', Brazil, 27915\-011 **Contract Type:** Permanent **Division:** Energy Engineering Solutions **Level of experience:** Junior RINA is currently recruiting for a **Data Engineer** to join its office in **Rio de Janeiro, RJ** within the **Energy Engineering Solutions** Division. **Mission** Provide tools that ensure the safety, reliability, and operational efficiency of subsea systems through the integration and evolutionary maintenance of databases, computer systems, and applications focused on operational activities. \#LI\-MR2**Responsibilities** * Develop databases; * Create and deliver training on database tools and programs for users; * Develop integration modules with existing software; * Perform analyses, comparisons, and create visualizations in BI tools such as Power BI and Spotfire; * Define relevant KPIs for activities; * Develop ETL processes; * Build dashboards containing indicators, charts, and data segmentation; * Maintain, perform functional analysis of, and update dashboards; * Configuration management, testing, and deployment; * Identify bugs, analyze, fix, and deploy to Production; * Actively participate in the entire development process of project improvements and evolutions; * Provide customer support. * Prepare presentations, guidance materials, tutorials, and instructions—technical or otherwise—to communicate lessons learned, scope definitions, management announcements, documentation reviews, and other important communications to operational teams and regulatory bodies; **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Control and Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Naval Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. * Minimum 1 year of experience in database development; * Knowledge of creating and using SAP Inspection Plan and Maintenance Plan modules; * Experience in software architecture and development; * Experience in programming with VBA, SQL, and PYTHON. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines; * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present results clearly and concisely; * Problem-solving orientation and commitment to technical excellence; * Proficiency in MS Office; **Competencies** * WORKPLACE DYNAMICS \- Resourcefulness in shaping progress and working efficiently. * PERSONAL EMPOWERMENT \- Ownership for life, work and results, striving to grow professionally and personally. * INTERPERSONAL INFLUENCE \- Skills and strategies we use to interact effectively with others. * DOMAIN \& BUSINESS ACUMEN \- Applying a scientific approach and critical thinking in operations and solution development within area of expertise. * FORESIGHT \& INSIGHT \- Context awareness adopting a systemic perspective and informed decision making.
