**Requirements**
**ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:**
* Technical Certificate in: Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Electrotechnical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Telecommunications, Automation, or Instrumentation;
* Active registration with the relevant professional council;
* Offshore experience as ROV Tool Technician or Supervisor.
**TECHNICAL SKILLS, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
* Maintain operational tools and equipment clean and organized;
* Perform maintenance on contractual tools;
* Understand technical and contractual requirements of the system;
* Be familiar with the company’s HSEQ tools;
* Know policies and procedures related to your role;
* Understand the company’s safety management system;
* Conduct safety briefings;
* Conduct pre-job meetings;
* Adhere to offshore safety standards, maintaining a safe environment for yourself and your colleagues;
* Respond appropriately to critical emergency situations and take actions to minimize or eliminate impact;
* Participate in all safety-related activities;
* Know emergency procedures;
* Know company safety procedures and where to locate them in your workplace;
* Recognize potential emergency situations and report them promptly and appropriately;
* Prepare coherent and concise incident reports to support accident investigation processes when required;
* Be aware of your responsibilities during emergencies and those of your coworkers;
* Understand roles and responsibilities of ROV, Survey, and Projects team members;
* Ability to work as part of a team and always assist colleagues;
* Maintain good communication with team members;
* Assign tasks to less experienced personnel and ensure clear understanding and satisfactory completion;
* Know the operation and tools to be performed before commencement; lead and assist in planning with other team members;
* Implement preventive maintenance systems for ROV tools and equipment onboard, considering upcoming operations;
* Identify risk points that may arise during preventive and corrective maintenance;
* Discuss planned tasks with vessel leaders, assisting in planning, execution, correct equipment selection, and coordination with other team members;
* Proficiency in fundamentals of electrical and hydraulic systems;
* Familiarity with contractual equipment and tools, capable of performing calibration and verification;
* Knowledge of fundamentals of standard tool interfaces, as described in ISO 13628-8;
* Report and record performed preventive maintenance;
* Know ROV system equipment and tools, discuss and suggest possible modifications and upgrades with supervision;
* Locate and resolve root causes of tool failures in ROV systems and perform necessary maintenance;
* Update, report, and record performed corrective maintenance;
* Operational proficiency with contractual tools required to perform assigned tasks;
* Finalize and update relevant documentation clearly and comprehensively for onshore management and external interfaces;
* Know, install, or remove auxiliary ROV equipment and tools;
* Perform maintenance according to specific procedures;
* Plan and assist in sequential operations planning, ensuring relevant authorizations have been obtained, specifying maintenance requirements and time limitations according to tasks;
* Perform pre- and post-dive activities;
* Complete relevant documentation and reports clearly and comprehensively for onshore management and external interfaces;
* Be proactive and fully engaged in executing tasks within the scope of work, meeting client and external interface requirements;
* Ensure recordings comply with the company’s quality procedures;
* Ability to supervise the team in the supervisor’s absence;
* Recognize skills and instruct less experienced team members on equipment maintenance and operational matters;
* Know the company’s quality manuals and procedures.
