Offshore nurses responsible for emergency medical care, basic assistance, triage, first aid, and health management onboard platforms, ensuring compliance and safety.

The Ocyan & Mota-Engil Consortium was established in 2023 following Ocyan’s strategic contract win, in partnership with Portuguese company Mota-Engil, to execute the revitalization of Petrobras’ gas network in the Campos Basin.
The project marks an expansion of both companies’ capabilities in offshore EPCI projects (engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of subsea equipment). Activities will be carried out on the Namorado (PNA-1) and Garoupa (PGP-1) platforms, focusing on the installation of manifolds, flexible pipelines, and other high-complexity subsea equipment.
The collaboration between Ocyan and Mota-Engil strengthens the Consortium’s expertise: on one side, Ocyan’s solid experience in the Brazilian oil and gas market; on the other, Mota-Engil’s recognized international presence, particularly in Europe and Africa.
We are seeking two **Offshore Nurses** to join the project’s OFFSHORE team.
Work regime: Rotation schedule of 14 days onboard / 14 days off.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Provide emergency medical care and basic assistance to personnel onboard, monitor the work environment, and ensure sanitary conditions comply with occupational health and safety standards;
* Proactively perform triage, diagnosis, and first aid in critical situations, carrying out more complex procedures and, when necessary, requesting external support to continue medical care;
* Refer more complex cases to specialized clinics or hospitals, assisting with transportation logistics as directed by the on-call medical regulation team;
* Conduct health and well-being-related safety briefings during crew embarkation and disembarkation, clearly communicating essential information to the team;
* Manage expiration dates, distribution, and replenishment of medications and supplies—both from general stock and onboard first-aid kits—ensuring all supplies meet quality standards and remain ready for immediate use;
* Maintain records of medical interventions and keep operational health-assistance documentation up to date, with appropriate reporting to offshore and onshore leadership, ensuring traceability and compliance with company requirements;
* Collaborate with the SMS/health team to integrate health initiatives with safety policies, promoting awareness and ensuring alignment among onboard teams through training and guidance dissemination, per onshore team directives;
* Promote awareness of the company’s anti-alcohol-and-drugs policy and any wellness campaigns, ensuring onboard personnel align with company guidelines and reinforcing the importance of a safe and healthy workplace;
* Document and share lessons learned and best practices related to performed activities, fostering continuous improvement within the team and organization;
* Guide and support team development, promoting technical knowledge transfer and dissemination of best practices, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives;
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Completed undergraduate degree in Nursing;
* Active COREN registration;
* MBA or postgraduate qualification in Occupational Nursing;
