Job Summary: The Mud Logger is responsible for geological and operational control during oil well drilling, monitoring parameters and providing technical support to clients. Key Highlights: 1. Technical support to clients and report generation The Mud Logger performs geological and operational control of limited complexity with intensive supervision during oil well drilling, as well as monitors drilling parameters and provides technical assistance to clients in the use and application of the company’s engineering software. **Responsibilities:** * Collecting and describing shale shaker samples (cuttings), identifying lithology, presence of hydrocarbons, and other geological characteristics. * Continuously monitoring drilling parameters such as rate of penetration (ROP), pressure, temperature, gas levels, among others. * Identifying anomalies including kicks, lost circulation, pressure variations, and other operational risks. * Generating technical reports, such as geological logs, daily reports, and end-of-well reports. * Communicating with the drilling team and geologists, providing critical information for decision-making. * Maintaining and calibrating data acquisition equipment and sensors installed on the rig. * Contributing to the reliability of drilling data by assisting in the installation and testing of the data acquisition system and recording well activities. * Ensuring drilling equipment functions properly by verifying connections and sensors, performing tests, and reporting failures for maintenance. * Collaborating with experienced professionals to promote safety and quality in operations, adhering to company and client standards. * Staying updated on company QSMS (Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment) standards and programs to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is provided to clients. * Assisting, when requested, with equipment maintenance at the base. **Responsibilities:** * Ensuring work deliverables are accurate and completed on time. * Monitoring, recording, and processing well data and parameters, ensuring integrity and reliability of information. * Compiling the End-of-Well Report, client-requested ad-hoc reports, and daily reports. * Interacting professionally with personnel and representatives from other service companies at the well site. * Maintaining confidentiality of client well data. * Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery processes. * Participating in job risk analyses and continuous improvement programs. * Using PPE and complying with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies. * Keeping required safety training current. **Minimum Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Engineering * Active CREA registration * Specific courses in the field * Experience as a Mud Logger on onshore or offshore wells * Desired: Intermediate/Advanced English Benefits International Opportunities Global adventure, broad exposure, and limitless learning await you.
