As an Equipment Operator S II, you assist in the mobilization, operation, maintenance, and demobilization of equipment (e.g., filtration units, DKD—Dynamic Kill Drilling, shale dryers, centrifuges, etc.).
As an EQUIPMENT OPERATOR S II, you will be responsible for:
* Installing, operating, monitoring, and maintaining solid control and waste management equipment
* Understanding the operation of solid control and waste management equipment
* Participating in all required safety meetings and conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes’ HS\&E policies, legal compliance requirements, and core values
* Providing necessary support to the supervisor for preparing the final well/project report
* Managing special projects as assigned
* Welding and cutting metal parts using appropriate equipment to join, reinforce, or repair mechanical components or assemblies
* Inspecting parts to be welded or cut, consulting drawings, specifications, or other instructions to plan the work sequence
* Performing welding by bringing the electrode close to the workpiece until an electric arc forms, then moving it appropriately along the joint line to form the weld bead
* Removing excess weld material from welded parts using a grinder to achieve final finishing
* Minimum of three years of professional experience in a similar role is required
**Fuel your passion**
To succeed in this role, you must:
* Hold a technical qualification in Mechanical, Electronic, Electromechanical, or Electrical Engineering, registered with CFT
* Demonstrate computer navigation skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Possess knowledge of the oil and gas industry
* Have strong mechanical aptitude
* Have sound knowledge of drilling solid control and waste management equipment
* Demonstrate teamwork capability and effective communication
* Exhibit leadership ability
* Be available to work offshore
* Be qualified in welding or boiler-making
