




We are seeking a professional for the position of **Equipment Engineer**, to be based at our facility in **Macaé/RJ**: **Responsibilities and Duties** **To perform the following functions:** * Responsible for planning, controlling, and executing activities related to maintenance and execution projects within the Lifting Maintenance discipline, with a focus on equipment such as cranes, winches, and hydraulic systems; serving as the technical responsible for systems aboard units under their responsibility, ensuring technical support to offshore units and contributing to their availability and achievement of business-defined results. Participate in/support supplier contracts, internal and external customers, audits, general compliance assurance, and assessment of offshore personnel’s technical competencies. * Contribute to achieving operational results by supporting all offshore unit activities related to the Lifting Maintenance discipline from a technical assistance perspective, performing and supervising corrective/preventive maintenance activities and project execution requiring onshore (including proactive campaigns) or onsite support, defining work packages, developing/monitoring/analyzing appropriate KPIs and meaningful statistics, and establishing suitable actions to eliminate bottlenecks, promoting continuous improvement. * Contribute to vessel POB (Planned Outage Budget) plans, maintaining close coordination with Integrated Planners and analyzing/validating the Maintenance Service Forecast, as well as monitoring the Integrated Maintenance Plan. * Achieve business-established targets by participating in the implementation of strategic and corporate projects and identifying opportunities for improvement. * Maintain equipment availability and ensure maintenance tasks are completed on schedule according to the maintenance plan, striving for maximum compliance and economically viable operation and maintenance, identifying improvements in execution and opportunities to reduce backlog. * Support the annual corporate budget planning of MdB for expenses and investments related to the Valve and Utilities Maintenance discipline, providing information based on prior experience, maintenance history, technical expertise, and industry best practices, while mapping potential risks involved to support management decisions. * Act proactively to safeguard MODEC against non-compliance with legal/regulatory requirements and technical standards, adhering to all specifications and technical procedures related to the Valve and Utilities Maintenance discipline, participating in internal/external audits and developing action plans to correct non-conformities. * Ensure operational technical alignment by participating in technical review meetings with the client. * Provide appropriate technical evaluation of service providers for pre-qualification, develop detailed technical scopes of work to support the Procurement team during tender processes, and evaluate and approve technical proposals for such tenders. Technically approve contract extensions and serve as the responsible party for the contracted supplier, overseeing service planning, execution, closure, and approval of reports and BMs. * Improve the quality of corrective/preventive maintenance-related processes and their execution, conducting technical evaluations based on procedures and standards, and implementing maintenance strategies and practices—including planning and execution of workflows—to be applied fleet-wide, following corporate procedures and communicating with the Maintenance Committee and key stakeholders (Operations Teams and Offshore Teams). * Enhance fleet performance by working closely with other departments to support them in issues, discussions, and queries related to the Lifting Maintenance discipline. * Contribute to capturing lessons learned for future development and improvement of EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) projects within the scope of the Lifting Maintenance discipline, appropriately documenting and preparing project close-out reports. * Support new projects during the BID, EPCI, and Pre-Operations phases by providing technical information based on operational experience, when requested. * Ensure integrity and investigate failures and incidents involving equipment, packages, and utilities related to the discipline aboard maritime units, embarking on offshore units whenever necessary, performing root cause analysis, preparing work packages, technical reports, documentation, and maintenance procedures, with formal technical responsibility attribution. * Ensure maximum compliance with HSSEQ legal/regulatory requirements and technical standards, embarking for investigation and technical support regarding HSSE Accidents & Incidents not related to maintenance, when required. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory—Mechanical Engineering preferred. * Postgraduate studies in areas related to the discipline of expertise are advantageous / MBA or equivalent is advantageous. * Registration with CREA (Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy) is mandatory. * Advanced level of English. * Minimum 7 years of professional experience in the field. * Advanced knowledge of hydraulic circuits and systems is required. * Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory. * Basic knowledge of CMMS (preferably SAP) is expected. **Additional Information** Joining MODEC means being a PROTAGONIST in a career full of CHALLENGES and engaging with the most modern deepwater production systems, knowing that your career starts in BRAZIL but your talent can take you around the WORLD. — If you aspire to be among the best in the market, this is your opportunity!! — As a MULTICULTURAL company that values DIVERSITY, we encourage applications from persons with disabilities (PCD) in our recruitment processes.
