**Job Description** * Install and configure new hardware and software equipment; * Install and configure computer networks, including routers, switches, and network cables. Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring its security and performance. **Job Requirements** Technical or Higher Education: Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computing. **Knowledge and Experience:** * **Knowledge** of hardware, software, networks, and operating systems. * **OSI and TCP/IP Models** – Understand the layers (physical, data link, network, transport, application) and their functions. * **IP Addressing**: * IPv4 (classes, subnetting, CIDR) * IPv6 (addressing and scope) * **Subnet Masks** – Subnet calculation and planning. * **Essential Protocols**: ARP, ICMP, DHCP, DNS, TCP vs UDP (differences and use cases) * **Routing and Switching** **Static Routing** – Manual configuration of routes. **Dynamic Routing** – Protocols such as OSPF, BGP, RIP. **Switching** – VLANs, trunking (802\.1Q), STP. **ARP Table and MAC Address Table**.
