Job Summary:
Conduct technical, functional, and structural inspections of offshore cranes to assess their condition and ensure the safety of lifting operations.

**Position Summary:**
Perform technical, functional, and structural inspections of offshore cranes based on national and international standards (e.g., API RP 2D, NORMAM\-01, NR\-12\). Responsible for evaluating operational conditions, identifying anomalies, and recommending corrective or preventive actions to ensure safety during lifting and cargo handling operations in maritime environments.
**Main Responsibilities:**
* Conduct periodic inspections of offshore cranes, including load testing, structural verification, and assessment of hydraulic/mechanical systems.
* Evaluate integrity of components such as: boom, rollers, steel wire ropes, hooks, sheaves, slewing systems, load limiters, and end-of-travel devices.
* Issue technical reports containing integrity assessments, action plans, and identified non-conformities.
* Read hydraulic diagrams to identify faults;
* Verify and ensure equipment compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (API RP 2D, ISO 9927, NORMAM\-01, etc.).
* Coordinate and/or perform non-destructive testing (NDT), such as visual testing (VT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), or magnetic particle testing (MT), where applicable.
* Support maintenance and operations teams in resolving critical failures.
* Validate technical documentation (certificates, inspection reports, equipment records).
* Participate in audits and incident investigations related to lifting equipment.
**Required Qualifications:**
Technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related fields.
Minimum 3 years of experience inspecting offshore cranes or cargo handling equipment.
IRATA Level I, II, or III.
Mandatory certifications: CBSP, T\-HUET, NR\-33, NR\-35\.
Desirable certification: API RP 2D / ASME B30\.5 / ISO 9927\.
Practical knowledge of reading technical drawings, manufacturer manuals, and interpreting hydraulic/mechanical diagrams.
NDT qualification (ABENDI or equivalent) is desirable.
Technical English for reading manuals and reports (desirable).
