The Backend Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications and services, ensuring efficient system integrations, high availability, security, and performance. The role involves direct involvement in building and consuming REST APIs, integrating with external services, and supporting production environments, following software engineering best practices. **Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure **RESTful APIs**; * Create and consume internal and third-party APIs; * Develop backend services using **Node.js and Python**; * Implement and optimize data persistence routines in **PostgreSQL**; * Use **Redis** for caching, session management, and performance optimization; * Implement asynchronous messaging using **RabbitMQ**; * Containerize applications using **Docker** and operate in containerized environments; * Version code and collaborate via **GitHub**, applying version control and code review best practices; * Work in **Linux** environments, performing configurations and application support; * Create and maintain automated tests; * Ensure service security, observability, and performance; * Document APIs, workflows, and integrations technically; * Maintain and support production systems; * Actively participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, planning, review, and retrospective); * Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams. **Technical Requirements** * Proven experience in **creating and consuming REST APIs**; * Experience with **Node.js and Python**; * Solid knowledge of **PostgreSQL**; * Experience with **Docker** and containerized environments; * Knowledge of **RabbitMQ** for asynchronous processing; * Experience with **Redis**; * Hands-on experience with **Git/GitHub** (version control, pull requests, code reviews); * Knowledge of **Linux** (command line, services, permissions). **Nice-to-Have** * Experience with messaging systems and event-driven architecture; * Knowledge of observability (logs, metrics, monitoring); * Experience with CI/CD; * Familiarity with API security best practices.
