Responsibilities Operate video and audio recording and playback equipment, computers, and recording software for all program materials, reports, and specials—both studio-based and on-location—that are broadcast by the TV station, verifying recorded material to ensure successful recording; Operate remote video controls for cameras to ensure image quality through necessary white balance and adjustments available on camera control units, both in-studio and on-location; Operate character generators using scripts provided by production and journalism teams containing information and text to be inserted into programs; Ensure compliance with the broadcaster's established standards for on-screen graphic insertions and positioning, following instructions and scripts from the program director and TV director.
