If you identify with our company and this challenge, come be VALGROUP—together we can go much further! **\#letstransformplasticwithus** **Responsibilities and duties** * Apply work safety knowledge to the workplace and all its components, including machines and equipment, in order to reduce or eliminate existing health and physical risks to workers; * Support safety assistants and apprentices in developing their activities; * Develop and implement occupational safety methodologies aiming for continuous improvement and alignment with updated regulations and procedures; * Stay up to date with changes in current regulations; * Determine, when all known methods for eliminating risks have been exhausted and the risk persists—even if reduced—the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by workers, as required by NR 6, whenever the concentration, intensity, or characteristics of the hazard demand it; * Collaborate, when requested, in the design and implementation of new physical and technological facilities of the company, exercising the competencies outlined above; * Maintain a permanent relationship with the CIPA (Internal Commission for Accident Prevention), making maximum use of their observations and providing support, training, and assistance as stated in NR 5; * Promote awareness, education, and guidance activities for workers regarding the prevention of workplace accidents and occupational diseases, both through campaigns and ongoing programs; * Educate and raise employer awareness about workplace accidents and occupational diseases, encouraging them toward prevention; * Analyze all workplace accidents occurring within the company, with or without victims, and all cases of occupational illness; * Conduct work safety integration sessions for new employees and service providers; * Prepare work orders advising employees on the risks they face while performing their tasks; * Inspect and monitor the validity of licenses authorizing forklift operators; * Develop new safety equipment and collective protective equipment; * Conduct regular inspections of buildings, identifying unsafe conditions and proposing improvements to comply with safety standards; * Inspect machines and equipment to ensure safe operation and prevent exposing employees to accident risks; * Inspect emergency equipment to ensure it functions properly when needed; * Monitor workplace safety inspections and implement corrective actions to comply with current legislation; * Supervise compliance with safety rules, procedures, and accident prevention systems within the company; * Update, verify, and monthly submit work safety data to E\-social via the ERP system; * Provide support to department management, assisting in the technical supervision of other safety technicians. **Requirements and qualifications** * Completed Technical Education in Occupational Safety; * Office software proficiency; * In-depth understanding of laws, regulations, and standards related to workplace safety, including applicable labor and environmental legislation; * Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential workplace risks through risk analysis and implementation of preventive measures; * Skill in conducting regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices to ensure compliance with safety standards; * Ability to develop and deliver training and capacity-building programs for employees on topics such as accident prevention, correct use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and emergency procedures; * Competence in conducting detailed investigations into workplace accidents, identifying root causes, and proposing solutions to prevent recurrence; * Knowledge of ergonomics to evaluate and optimize workplace design aspects, ensuring worker physical health; * Ability to plan and coordinate effective responses to emergencies such as fires, evacuations, and first aid; * Knowledge of identification, assessment, and control of chemical, physical, and biological agents present in the workplace that may affect worker health; * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees at all organizational levels, explaining safety procedures, regulations, and instructions; * Competence in instructing workers on the proper use and maintenance of personal (PPE) and collective protective equipment (CPE); * Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to occupational safety, including incident reports, inspections, and training programs; * Basic understanding of occupational health issues, including monitoring exposure to hazardous substances and promoting healthy work environments; * Knowledge of administering basic first aid in case of injuries or medical emergencies at work. * Flexibility to work on-site in Lorena/SP **Additional information** **Our Benefits:** * Medical Plan; * Dental Plan; * Life Insurance; * Basic Food Basket; * Transportation Allowance; * On-site lunch; * Profit Sharing (PLR).
