Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Position for a **Hospital-based Speech-Language Pathologist**, with experience supporting neonatal and pediatric patients, and strong theoretical-practical knowledge of breastfeeding and swallowing disorders (neonatal and pediatric dysphagia). Areas of Practice * Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU); * Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU); * Conventional Intermediate Care Unit (CICU); * Kangaroo Intermediate Care Unit (KICU); * Rooming-in Unit (RIU); * Neonatal Hearing Screening (NHS). **Responsibilities and Duties** * Assess and provide technical guidance regarding oral feeding safety, supporting the multidisciplinary team’s joint decision on the need for alternative feeding routes; * Recommend safe volumes and consistencies for partial or full oral feeding, minimizing risk of bronchoaspiration; * Advise and discuss comfort measures with the team, as well as possible alternative feeding and hydration routes when oral feeding is not feasible; * Apply therapeutic resources for habilitation, rehabilitation, and prevention of health complications, minimizing risks related to stomatognathic system and swallowing disorders; * Discuss clinical approaches with the multidisciplinary team in palliative care and therapeutic planning, contributing to shared decision-making within speech-language pathology competencies; * Collaborate in developing humanization initiatives in intensive care services; * Conduct Neonatal Hearing Screening according to institutional protocols. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Mandatory Requirements** Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Active and valid registration with the professional regulatory council; **Required Competencies and Knowledge** * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and email usage; * Strong time management and task prioritization skills; * Clear, concise, and effective communication; * Good interpersonal skills; * Confidence and proactivity in case discussions with multidisciplinary teams; * Teamwork ability; * Knowledge of breastfeeding and neonatal/pediatric dysphagia; * Basic understanding of the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) and Kangaroo Mother Care. **Preferred Qualifications (Desirable)** * Specialization in Neonatal Speech-Language Pathology; **or** * Specialization in Hospital Speech-Language Pathology; **or** * Proven experience in hospital settings. **Additional Information** Salary R$3.500,00 Hazard Pay R$324,20 Meals provided in cafeteria Transportation Voucher (optional) Work schedule: 12x60 (30 hours per week) Location: Maternal-Child Center (CMI) City: Betim/MG Employment Type: CLT Join a team modernizing public healthcare in Brazil.
