We seek a Mid-to-Senior Data Scientist and AI Specialist to join our Data and Business Strategy team. This professional will develop and implement Data Science and Artificial Intelligence solutions applied to Intellectual Property, supporting strategic decision-making, optimizing analyses, and generating business opportunities. The role combines solid Data Science skills with practical knowledge of applied AI. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Conduct exploratory data analyses to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities in internal and external datasets. * Integrate diverse datasets and conduct searches for new data when necessary to enrich existing datasets. * Develop, train, evaluate, and deploy Machine Learning models applied to Intellectual Property, technology, and the legal market; * Implement NLP solutions for email and document analysis, classification, information extraction, and business decision support; * Build data pipelines and Machine Learning/AI models, ensuring quality, reproducibility, and governance; * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, legal, and business), translating business needs into analytical and AI-driven solutions; * Develop purpose-specific AI agents using market-available tools. * Document models, technical decisions, and ensure code versioning, adhering to best practices in governance, ethics, and responsible use of data and AI. **Requirements and Qualifications** **TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (HARD SKILLS)** **Essential** * Academic degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields; * Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and development of Machine Learning models; * Proficiency in **Python** and **SQL** (PL/SQL preferred); Mastery of data analysis and ML libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM or similar); * **Preferred** * Ability to implement and integrate Data Science and AI solutions using market tools and APIs (exposing ML/AI models and consuming third-party APIs). * Experience with **Cloud Computing** platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related services (e.g., Lambda, Athena, Bedrock); * Experience with **LLMs**, prompt engineering, and generative AI applications; * Knowledge of **RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)** architectures and use of **vector databases**; * Familiarity with **MLOps** practices and tools (model training, versioning, deployment, and monitoring). * Experience with search and indexing systems (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch); * Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight); * Certifications in AI/ML or Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP). **BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES (SOFT SKILLS)** **Essential** * Clear and concise communication, with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences; * Strong analytical thinking and ability to solve complex problems; * Collaboration in multidisciplinary teams, with a consultative mindset; * Creativity in proposing innovative solutions within the legal context; * Ethics, responsibility, and commitment to confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive data; * Continuous learning and interest in innovation in Data Science and AI; * Results-oriented focus and commitment to delivering tangible business value **Desirable** * Business acumen and understanding of corporate KPIs, * Resilience in dealing with technical uncertainties; * Ability to mentor junior professionals and exercise technical leadership within the team. **LANGUAGES** * Advanced English desirable for technical reading and occasional communication with vendors. **Additional Information** At Daniel Advogados, we have a multidisciplinary team with extensive international experience and deep specialization in Intellectual Property and Technology, Privacy and Data Protection, serving national and international clients.
