Description
Possesses knowledge to operate welding machines using covered electrode and MIG/MAG processes to produce parts according to drawing specifications, production orders, and work instructions
Inspect and prepare parts to be welded, verifying specifications and drawings, and selecting the appropriate welding type to achieve standardized welds.
Perform final finishing on welded parts by filing, grinding, or sanding worked areas according to drawings, production orders, and work instructions.
Monitor the usage/consumption of welding materials, specify required materials, and request their procurement.
Possesses basic knowledge to occasionally assist with or operate low- to medium-complexity machines, tools, or equipment within the department to assemble parts according to drawing specifications, production orders, and work instructions.
