Continuous professional development in a dynamic field. **Job Requirements:** * Technical Nursing Course. * Knowledge of nursing techniques in intensive care, medication administration, and basic health care. * Additional training: Courses in basic and advanced life support, crisis management, and integrative practices. **Minimum 2 years of experience.** **Knowledge Areas:** * Basic Pharmacology: Understanding of active ingredients, routes of administration, dosage (medication calculation), and side effects of commonly used medications. * Biosafety and Hospital Infection Control (HIC): Mastery of Hospital Infection Control (HIC) standards, aseptic techniques, disinfection, sterilization, and proper use of PPE. * Anatomy and Physiology: Basic knowledge of human body structure and function to understand pathologies and patients’ clinical progression. * Professional Legislation: Familiarity with the Nursing Code of Ethics and the Nursing Practice Law (COFEN/COREN), ensuring practice remains within legal scope of competence. * First Aid: Knowledge and practice of Basic Life Support (BLS), especially in cases of cardiopulmonary arrest and choking. **Responsibilities:** * Direct Patient Care \- Provide hygiene, comfort, mobility (position changes), feeding, and assistance with patients’ physiological needs. * Therapeutic Procedures \- Administer medications via various routes (oral, intramuscular, intravenous, subcutaneous), strictly adhering to medical prescriptions and verification with the Registered Nurse (the \\"Nine Rights\\"). * Monitoring \- Measure and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and fluid balance. Observe and immediately report any changes in the patient’s health status. * Specimen Collection and Laboratory Tests \- Collect biological specimens (blood, urine, feces) for laboratory testing, ensuring correct handling and identification. * Wound Care and Dressings \- Change simple and complex dressings following aseptic techniques and under supervision of the Registered Nurse. * Biosafety and Infection Control \- Maintain patient units organized and clean. Perform disinfection and preparation of materials and equipment. Strictly follow waste disposal protocols and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage guidelines. * Communication and Documentation \- Clearly and legibly document all procedures performed, complications, observations, and patient changes in the medical record or electronic system. * Emergency Support \- Assist physicians and registered nurses during emergencies, such as resuscitation and preparation for invasive procedures. **Attitudes:** * Ethics and Responsibility: Practice with professional confidentiality, respecting patient privacy and rights. * Assume responsibility for one’s own actions and omissions. * Humanization of Care: Treat all patients with dignity, respect, and sensitivity, promoting physical and emotional well-being regardless of their condition. * Discipline and Technical Rigor: Strictly adhere to protocols, checklists, and schedules—especially during medication administration, where error margin is zero. * Empathy and Patience: Essential for interacting with vulnerable, painful, or fearful patients and their families, maintaining composure during tense situations. * Continuous Learning: Willingness to pursue new knowledge and improve techniques—critical in a rapidly evolving field.
