**About the Role** We are seeking a **Senior Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE / DBA)** with deep expertise in **MariaDB/MySQL** and a solid understanding of **PostgreSQL**. Your mission will be to ensure our databases are reliable, performant, and resilient — especially when it comes to **replication troubleshooting** and tackling complex performance challenges. In addition to being our **database specialist**, you’ll have the opportunity to **grow into a DevOps role**. If you don’t yet have strong DevOps experience, that’s perfectly fine — we’ll provide hands\-on training, mentoring, and support. Over time, you’ll contribute to infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and cloud operations alongside our DevOps engineers. **Responsibilities and Attributions** ### **Responsibilities** * Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, including **replication failures** and performance bottlenecks. * Optimize queries, indexes, and schema designs for reliability and scalability. * Ensure robust **backup, recovery, and security** strategies are in place. * Collaborate with developers to improve database usage patterns and performance. * Manage and monitor databases in **cloud environments** (Azure, AWS). * Gradually take on **DevOps responsibilities**, including: * Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) * CI/CD pipelines and automation * Cloud resource provisioning and maintenance **Requisites and Qualifications** ### **Requirements** * Senior\-level expertise with **MariaDB/MySQL** (administration, performance tuning, replication). * Experience troubleshooting **replication**, diagnosing query performance, and optimizing configurations. * Solid understanding of **database design**, indexing, and scaling strategies. * Hands\-on experience managing **production environments** with high reliability requirements. * Familiarity with **Azure and/or AWS**. * English level **B1 or higher** (comfortable collaborating in an international team). **Addtional Informations** ### **Nice to Have** * Working knowledge of **PostgreSQL** (operations, tuning, replication). * Experience with **Infrastructure as Code** tools (Terraform, Ansible). * Scripting ability (Bash, Python). * Previous **DevOps** or **SRE** experience. ### **What We Offer** * Become the **go\-to database expert** in our team. * A clear **growth path into DevOps**, with dedicated mentoring and training. * A dynamic role where you may spend **50% or more of your time in DevOps** as you grow. * International environment with modern tooling and automation practices. * Competitive compensation and flexibility.
