About the position **Required education:** Completed undergraduate degree in Library Science, preferably with postgraduate studies in School Library Management or Literature. **Requirements and preferences:** Knowledge and experience managing public and school libraries; Knowledge and experience in technical preparation of collections; Preferably, experience with literary reading mediation projects; Active registration with the Regional Council of Library Science (CRB); National Driver’s License Category B. **Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:** Monitoring and delivering library services while tracking productivity statistics; hiring artists and organizing literary mediation events; and providing technical cooperation to other institutional departments. Promoting and disseminating library-related events and supervising service teams. Conducting technical visits to units affiliated with the operational hub. Organizing, implementing, and evaluating library-related activities. Planning and developing cultural projects with a focus on literary mediation. Preparing and grading exams; selecting library service staff; Training and guiding library service teams; performing system user registration and access control. Supervising Library Science interns. Preparing reports related to collection management, services, and projects. Hiring consultants and service providers. Collaborating in the development of service and procedure manuals... Monitoring the execution of goals and budgets for systematic library project work plans; Developing action plans, proposals for promoting library services and projects, and seeking partnerships; Managing collections—including selection, acquisition, technical processing (classification, cataloging, indexing), conservation, withdrawal, and inventory; Controlling collection circulation; advising on registration and loan rules; standardizing service delivery for school groups and the general public; managing overdue item rates; Providing public library services for consultation and loan of materials; Promoting and mediating reading promotion activities for all audiences (children, youth, adults, seniors, people with disabilities). ⏰ Work schedule 44 hours per week Availability for travel; Availability to work some weekends.
