About the role: Alcoa is seeking an Equipment Operator I A to join our team at our Juruti/PA unit, responsible for operating and maintaining essential utility systems, including fire protection systems, air compressors, water treatment plants, sanitary and oily effluent treatment stations, and fuel control and supply for equipment and vehicles. This professional ensures the efficient and safe operation of utility systems by conducting regular inspections, overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance, and promptly responding to any failures or emergencies. The Utility Operator works closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure operational continuity and compliance with safety and environmental standards. Key responsibilities of the role include:* Ensure the operation of the fire protection system; * Ensure the operation of water treatment plants (WTP), sanitary effluent treatment plants (STP), and oily effluent treatment stations (CSAO); * Monitor and analyze water treatment processes; * Provide support to technicians; * Perform, when necessary, low-complexity maintenance tasks, replacing, changing, cleaning, repairing, and installing parts and components in accordance with SSMA policies and proper procedures. What you can offer for the role:* Completed High School education; * Vocational training in chemistry, safety, environment, or related fields; * WTP and STP course; * Experience in operation of water and sewage treatment plants; * Advanced computer skills; * Reside in Juruti\-PA (remote area); * Work schedule: on-site.
