Job Summary: A professional to develop and optimize mold design projects—from 3D/2D conceptualization through technical feasibility analysis to manufacturing supervision—aiming for continuous improvement. Collaboration in mold manufacturing and continuous project improvement Main Duties and Responsibilities * **Project Development (3D and 2D):** Creation of 3D mold models (cavities, cores, slides) and detailed 2D drawings with technical specifications (tolerances, materials, surface finishes). * **System Sizing:** Definition of functional mold systems, including cooling (for thermal control), ejection (to remove the part), and feeding (runners and injection points). * **Technical Feasibility Analysis:** Evaluation of plastic part moldability, defining parting lines (mold closure), draft angles (part ejection), and wall thicknesses. * **Material Selection:** Specification of steels for mold bases and cavities, considering tool service life and the type of material to be injected. * **Manufacturing Collaboration:** Supervision of machining (CNC) and mold assembly at the tool shop, performing adjustments (try-out) as required. * **Continuous Improvement:** Review and modification of existing designs to reduce costs, cycle time, and defects in the final part.
