Full participation in the software delivery lifecycle **Description and Responsibilities:** **Working Hours:** Monday to Friday **Level:** Professional **Employment Type:** Permanent – CLT **SOSDocs is seeking a Senior/Mid-Level++ Java Developer for exclusive allocation/dedication under the maintenance, support, and enhancement contract for the Chamber of Deputies’ document and administrative process management system (eDoc / ECM based on Nuxeo).** **The focus is on Java development and code correction, ensuring system stability and functional enhancement, along with strong Oracle database capabilities (query optimization, index tuning, and performance diagnostics).** **The professional will be responsible for performing the following activities:** * Implement system corrections and enhancements (Java), including root cause analysis of defects; * Provide support: incident investigation, bug fixing, and recurrence prevention; Participate in the delivery lifecycle: requirements analysis, development, code review, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment, in accordance with the client’s defined processes. * * **Work with Oracle on tasks such as:** * *Analysis and optimization of queries (JOINs, filters, pagination, sorting);* * *Reading and interpreting execution plans (EXPLAIN PLAN) and identifying bottlenecks;* * *Supporting index maintenance and creation (B-Tree, composite indexes, selectivity, statistics — aligned with best practices);* * *Identifying locks, contention, and high-cost queries;* * *Adjusting procedures/PL/SQL when necessary (in collaboration with DBAs, if available);* * *Integrating and consuming services/APIs, and supporting ecosystem integrations (where applicable);* * *Documenting and maintaining minimal traceable records (tickets, changes, test evidence, etc.).* **Requirements:** 7 years of Java development experience (strong mid-level profile); Experience with Java in enterprise environments and production systems. **Solid SQL knowledge and hands-on Oracle experience:** *Query optimization and performance troubleshooting;* *Index maintenance/creation and understanding of statistics/execution plans;* *Experience with common Java ecosystem frameworks and practices (e.g., Spring, JPA/Hibernate or Java EE — as applicable to the system);* *Familiarity with version control and delivery tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines as a user/consumer);* *Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools (Scrum/Kanban, Jira or similar);* *Strong communication skills and discipline for process-oriented work and documentation (government environment).* **Desirable Skills (nice to have):** Experience with Elasticsearch / OpenSearch (queries, indices, basic troubleshooting); Messaging knowledge (e.g., Apache Kafka) at the consumption/integration level; Basic understanding of containers (Docker) and deployment environments; Experience with Nuxeo or repositories/ECM (a significant advantage). **Benefits:** Attendance Bonus, SESC Membership, Day Off, Open English, University Partnership Program, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Meal Voucher
