The program aims to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families in integrating into society and achieving autonomy. Services are provided through home visits, as well as accompaniment and supervision during daily activities—such as trips to markets and outings to parks, plazas, and other communal spaces. Professionals accompany and guide users until they develop the ability to carry out such activities independently. DC teams are based at Specialized Rehabilitation Centers (SRCs) and consist of nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and disability companions. Currently, SPDM/PAIS manages DC program teams operating at three SRCs. **Responsibilities and Duties** Accompany individuals with intellectual disabilities in performing daily living activities, as outlined in the Individual Therapeutic Plan. Encourage users and their families to promote autonomy and independence. To this end, it combines cutting-edge technology with high-quality medical care, supported by multidisciplinary teams comprising nurses, physical therapists, pharmacists, nutritionists, speech-language pathologists, clinical biochemists, psychologists, technologists, social workers, dentists, and others. **The Integrated Health Care Program (PAIS)** began operations in 2001 in the municipality of São Paulo and later expanded to other municipalities and states. Since its inception, **PAIS** has sought, in partnership with public authorities, to expand and consolidate health services offered to SUS users.
