Responsibilities and Duties * Monitor the harvester’s cutting height to prevent stool uprooting and losses. * Assess the condition of harvested material—i.e., whether it consists of billets, shreds, whole stalks, or tops—and verify whether operations are being conducted optimally. * Direct transshipment truck traffic within the yard to ensure favorable unloading from both sides of each truck, thereby improving efficiency. * Guide sugarcane trucks using entrance and exit signage to prevent them from entering dead-end routes, minimizing time loss. * Prior to transitioning to a new harvesting area, stay proactively updated on all relevant details so the area is fully prepared to receive machinery and unforeseen disruptions are minimized. * Communicate daily production targets to operators, enabling production tracking, loss monitoring, and timely corrective actions when needed.
