Portal do Oeste is a family-owned company passionate about its work, focused on cultivating and marketing high-quality fruits, with its story beginning in 2006 in the municipality of Barreiras-BA. Through hard work, dedication, and a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement of our products and services, we have developed a modern production system, rigorous quality control, and a robust socio-environmental responsibility. In 2017, we expanded to Palmas-TO with our Distribution Center, enabling us to deliver fresh and healthy fruits daily to residents of Tocantins, thereby contributing to people’s well-being and nutrition. We are hiring a Refrigerated Truck Driver responsible for transporting and delivering fruits grown on our farm to customers, ensuring goods are delivered in perfect condition and within established deadlines. This professional must strictly follow route planning, safeguarding fruit integrity during transport and maintaining delivery service quality. 1. Operate the company’s refrigerated truck for customer order deliveries, driving in compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure safe fruit transportation and prevent accidents daily during working hours. 2. Follow the planned route, adhering to the itinerary set by the company, aiming to optimize delivery time to guarantee all customers are served within agreed deadlines, according to the daily delivery schedule. 3. Inspect the truck’s condition, performing daily checks—including oil, tires, refrigeration system, etc.—to ensure the vehicle is in optimal operating condition and avoid breakdowns or failures before each trip. 4. Monitor and control truck temperature, adjusting climate settings during transport to maintain fruit quality and ensure fruits are carried under appropriate conditions throughout the entire delivery process. 5. Assist in loading fruit cargo, helping organize and position loads inside the truck to ensure proper fruit placement and prevent damage during transport at the start of each loading operation. 6. Verify delivery documentation—checking invoices, freight bills, and other required documents—to ensure deliveries are executed accurately and per customer orders before departing for delivery. 7. Maintain constant communication with the logistics team, reporting delivery progress, possible delays, or transport issues, keeping both the company and customers informed about delivery status throughout the working day. 8. Perform unloading of goods, assisting in offloading fruits at delivery locations to guarantee fruits arrive in perfect condition at all delivery points. 9. Record incidents occurring during transport, noting any problems or unforeseen events encountered during the trip—such as damages or delays—to ensure the company has timely information to resolve potential issues and prevent recurrence, immediately after such incidents occur. 10. Conduct basic truck maintenance, performing minor repairs—such as replacing bulbs and fuses or replenishing fluids—to keep the truck in good operating condition and avoid disruptions to deliveries, daily or as needed. 11. Complete trip reports, logging data including mileage, fuel consumption, and other variables to provide information for cost control and operational efficiency, at the end of each trip. 12. Manage return packaging by collecting empty plastic crates or pallets from customers, ensuring availability of packaging for reuse within the company upon completion of each delivery.
