Then join us in making a difference! **\#VEMSERINDT** We are looking for **a Senior Data Scientist** to join our Data Science Center of Excellence (CoE), developing advanced analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence solutions directly focused on real business problems. This role is ideal for candidates with strong technical expertise combined with business acumen, working end-to-end—from data exploration to delivering measurable and sustainable impact. Requirements: **Main Responsibilities** * Work on strategic use cases, translating business needs into data-driven analytical solutions * Conduct end-to-end analyses: data exploration, understanding, preparation, and delivery * Work with large-scale datasets, ensuring quality, integrity, and statistical consistency * Develop, validate, and evolve statistical and machine learning models, ensuring performance, stability, and explainability * Monitor model performance metrics and propose continuous improvements * Contribute to building and evolving Feature Stores, promoting standardization and governance * Create and maintain notebooks and pipelines in Databricks, following analytical engineering best practices * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Engineering, Governance, BI, and Business) * Communicate results, hypotheses, and insights clearly and strategically using data visualization and storytelling * Ensure focus on business value and practical applicability of delivered solutions **Technical Requirements** * Solid experience as a Data Scientist, working on end-to-end projects * Strong knowledge of Machine Learning and applied Statistics * Experience with Python (pandas, scikit\-learn, etc.) * Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark * Experience handling large volumes of data (Big Data) * Knowledge of designing and consuming data pipelines * Experience with code versioning (Git) * Experience with MLOps, including model monitoring and lifecycle management * Stay updated on trends, techniques, and best practices in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI—and apply them practically within the business context * Continuously contribute to the technical evolution of solutions, focusing on innovation and value generation **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields * Proven experience as a Senior Data Scientist tackling complex problems in large-scale environments * Proficiency in Machine Learning algorithms (regression, classification, decision trees, clustering, probabilistic models) * Strong hands-on experience with PySpark and data science libraries * Knowledge of feature engineering and Feature Store concepts * Experience in data cleaning, preparation, and analysis * Ability to conduct analyses autonomously, with critical thinking and business-oriented perspective * Skill in communicating results and technical concepts clearly and accessibly to diverse audiences **Nice-to-Have** * Practical experience with Databricks (Spark, notebooks, pipelines) * Experience in regulated or high-criticality environments * Knowledge of model deployment, monitoring, and governance (MLOps) * Experience with data visualization and analytical storytelling * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) * Experience with CI/CD applied to Machine Learning * Familiarity with model explainability frameworks (e.g., SHAP, LIME) **Expected Profile** * Strong analytical thinking combined with business acumen * Ability to translate complex problems into practical and scalable solutions * Strong communication skills and ability to tell stories with data * Proactivity and ownership mindset * Ability to thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments
