Lingopass is looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer (FastAPI \+ Celery) to join our team in developing an interactive language learning mobile application with multiple features including podcasts, quizzes, flashcards, interactive stories, and chat-based exercises. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI * Implement and optimize asynchronous tasks using Celery and gevent * Develop administrative endpoints following clean architecture principles * Integrate Firebase services (Admin SDK, Firestore, Storage, Auth) * Integrate AI APIs (OpenAI, Replicate, ElevenLabs, Gemini) * Manage dual-server architecture (fast API server \+ background workers) * Ensure code quality through testing, task monitoring (Celery Insights), and best practices Skills and Qualifications * Experience integrating AI and LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini) * Knowledge of gRPC and compatibility with gevent * Experience building educational applications or content-generation systems * Familiarity with Firestore and NoSQL data modeling * Knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) in addition to NoSQL * Knowledge of Docker and production deployment (Render, AWS, GCP) * Experience with task monitoring tools (Celery Insights, Flower, Celery Beat) Nice-to-Haves * 3\+ years of production experience with Python * Proficiency in FastAPI or similar async frameworks (Starlette, Sanic) * Solid experience with Celery and message brokers (Redis, RabbitMQ) * Understanding of async/await and asynchronous programming in Python * Experience with gevent or other concurrency solutions (greenlets, asyncio) * Familiarity with Firebase Admin SDK (Firestore, Storage, Authentication) * Knowledge of repository architecture and layered separation * Experience with Git and collaborative workflows **Benefits:** Join a high-impact strategic team;, A growth-oriented environment with accelerated learning and clear purpose;, Full scholarship for language development at Lingopass: English, Spanish, French, Mandarin;, Birthday bonus;, Clude and Totalpass;, Fully remote work. **About the company:** Others
