Phenotyping Supervisor

Description

Job Summary: The professional will be responsible for identifying sites, establishing and monitoring field experimental trials, ensuring data quality and operational safety. Key Highlights: 1. Field research experience with corn and soybean (minimum 3 years) 2. Ability to lead field teams and solve problems 3. Focus on experimental quality and operational safety Responsibilities: * Identify external sites for yield trials, observations, and phenotyping; * Map areas including center-pivot allocations to ensure experimental quality; * Monitor planting, field operations, and coordinate with third parties and partner farmers to ensure optimal conditions for each project; * Support data collection for permission agreements with farmers and third parties; * Provide agronomic management guidance, review protocols, and ensure data quality; * Perform ear analyses using photometry or similar methods; * Ensure planting quality within optimal dates and seasons for each crop; * Collect phenotypic data using technological tools that support product advancement; * Evaluate plot quality and monitor trials via drone flights or similar methods; * Assess grain yield of experimental plots through mechanical or manual harvesting; * Ensure field equipment used in activities is safe and complies with safety policies, leading calibrations and maintenance to minimize wear and experimental error. * Ensure correct implementation of quality management protocols and safety procedures across all activities. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or related fields (postgraduate degree is a plus). * Experience in establishing and conducting research experiments (minimum 3 years) in corn and soybean crops. * Intermediate English proficiency is a plus. * Strong teamwork and field group leadership skills. * Problem-solving ability. * Ability to remotely coordinate teams; * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), iOS, and email. * Valid Brazilian driver's license, category B or higher. * Willingness to travel.
