Job Summary: Assist the butcher in all stages of preparation, cutting, packaging, and display of butcher shop products, ensuring organization and hygiene of the department. Key Highlights: 1. Assist in preparing and cutting meat for customers and display. 2. Ensure correct labeling and display of products on the counter. 3. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and utensils. Job Description: * Assist the butcher in preparing (cutting, sorting, etc.) products and packaging them according to the department’s manual; * Assist the butcher in preparing, cutting, and delivering customer-requested products (slicing, portioning, grinding, and weighing), properly packaged and labeled with the product code; * Label products according to the internal code for the sales area and company requirements; * Verify that products are correctly labeled (price, origin, manufacturing date, expiration date, label placement); * Assemble, seal, and label trays of butcher shop products for display and for cold rooms; * Sterilize equipment and tools used for meat handling before and after each use; * Separate products for restaurant and kitchen use upon request; * Perform pricing and price re-tagging as directed by department leadership; \- Restock merchandise on counters and refrigerated and frozen islands whenever items are sold; \- Remove deteriorated or unsightly merchandise daily, verifying expiration dates of displayed products; * Clean equipment, facilities, and utensils as needed; * Load and unload products onto trucks using hydraulic equipment, and store products in appropriate locations; * Assist the butcher in verifying incoming goods and inventory when requested; * Store chilled and frozen products in their respective cold rooms; * Prepare product display areas in the sales zone according to the department’s manual.
