**We are seeking a Mining Engineer PL to strengthen Lhoist's Geology \& Mine Planning team, working on the development, optimization, and monitoring of short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans, ensuring safety, operational efficiency, and alignment with production strategies.**

**This professional will play a key role interfacing with Operations, Geology, Environment, and ANM, directly contributing to technical decision-making, compliance with legal requirements, and the company’s continuous process improvement.**

**Responsibilities:**

**Short-Term Mine Planning:**
=========================================
* **Develop quarterly, monthly, and weekly plans considering technical-economic, environmental, and operational assumptions.**

* **Develop and guide short- and very short-term plans to direct mining activities.**
========================================================================================
* **Monitor field execution, ensure plan adherence, and propose revisions when necessary.**

* **Guide and monitor surveying and topographic surveys.**
=================================================================
* **Perform mine reconciliation and monitor extracted quality and volumes.**

* **Support drilling and blasting plans according to current planning.**

**Medium- and Long-Term Planning:**

* **Participate in the development of strategic plans (5-year and long-term), pit sequencing, and final pit optimization.**

* **Support fleet sizing and optimization analyses.**

**ANM Engagement**

* **Prepare and monitor legal documents: RAL, PAE, resource reports, mineral easements, and others.**

* **Ensure compliance with ANM deadlines and requirements.**

**Interface with Operations and Other Departments**

* **Participate in job rotation (1–1.5 years) within the mine operation.**

* **Provide technical support to Geology, Environment, Legal, and other departments.**

* **Support internal and external audits and participate in the Mine Planning Committee.**

* **Manage third-party contracts (surveying, geotechnics).**

**Requirements:**

**Education and Experience**

* **Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering.**
=====================================
* **2–5 years of experience**, preferably in **Mine Planning**.

* **Active registration with CREA.**

**Technical Knowledge:**

* **Experience with software such as (desirable):**

+ **Surpac, MineSched, Whittle**

+ **Talpac, Haulsim**

+ **QGIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD/ZWCad**

+ **I\-Blast (a plus)**

* **Microsoft Office Suite.**

* **Minimum English level B2; Spanish or French are assets.**
