The facility where the UNIPROFESSIONAL OBSTETRIC NURSING RESIDENCY PROGRAM will take place is Santa Casa de Jequié – Hospital São Judas Tadeu, a maternity hospital serving as a reference for Jequié and 26 municipalities in the microregion, providing care for pregnant women and neonatology exclusively through the Unified Health System (SUS), ensuring high-quality care for socially vulnerable populations. The future Teaching Hospital features a Normal Birth Center (CPN) and has 71 inpatient beds and 14 neonatal ICU beds, the first such unit in the region. To serve pregnant women with more delicate health conditions, the hospital offers prenatal care for high-risk pregnancies and provides outpatient and surgical services in Gynecology and Obstetrics. The hospital infrastructure also includes an outpatient medical center and a clinical analysis laboratory. Join our mission! **Responsibilities and duties** * **In Obstetric Care, aligned with the Nursing Coordination of Hospital São Judas Tadeu:** * Conduct low-risk normal deliveries, ensuring good practices of humanized care. * Perform low-risk prenatal consultations and postpartum follow-up. * Early identification of risk situations, notifying the medical team when necessary. * Promote breastfeeding and support sexual and reproductive health practices. * Record and monitor care indicators (normal deliveries, complications, user satisfaction, among others). * **In Residency Program Coordination, aligned with COREMU Coordination:** * Develop, review, and implement the Residency Pedagogical Project; * Supervise tutors and preceptors, ensuring integration between education, service, and community; * Organize periodic meetings with preceptors and residents to monitor performance; * Plan **permanent health education** activities for residents and the multidisciplinary team; * Coordinate selection processes, continuous and final evaluations of residents; * Integrate residents into strategic institutional projects, encourage scientific production, and guide them on Residency Completion Projects (RCP); * Represent the program at scientific events in coordination with COREMU; * Encourage the implementation of new clinical technologies based on Telehealth; * Ensure that residents' experiences contribute to improving the institution's maternal and neonatal indicators; * Support the analysis, updating, and approval process of pedagogical project changes together with COREMU; * Contribute to the qualification of faculty, tutors, and preceptors by submitting proposals for COREMU approval; * Promote coordination between the program and other health residency programs within the institution, including medical residencies, internship programs, clerkships at SCJ or within the FJS ecosystem; * Foster participation of residents, tutors, and preceptors in developing interinstitutional actions and projects across the entire scope of the SUS care and management network; * Keep updated documentation of the program related to residents' activities (PPP, Attendance Sheets, Evaluations, among others) **Requirements and qualifications** * **Essential requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, with active registration at the Regional Nursing Council (COREN); * Specialist title in Obstetric Nursing recognized by MEC or completed residency in Obstetric Nursing; * Minimum academic qualification of Master's degree in health-related fields, preferably related to Women's Health, Obstetric Nursing, Public Health, or Health Education; * **Availability to work in Jequié-Ba during business hours (Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM);** * Prior experience in obstetric care and teaching/preceptorship or academic instruction in residency programs, undergraduate or graduate courses; * Knowledge of guidelines, policies, and protocols of the Unified Health System (SUS), with emphasis on Primary Care, Specialized Care, and network integration in women's healthcare, particularly regarding maternal-child care and the Alyne Network; * Familiarity with the role of CNRMS (National Commission for Multiprofessional Health Residency) and related regulations (MEC/MS Ordinances No. 1,077/2009, No. 1,111/2005 and updates). * **Mandatory technical skills:** * Mastery of techniques for humanized childbirth and clinical management of labor; * Ability to develop updated obstetric protocols; * Knowledge to support breastfeeding and provide family guidance; * Knowledge of public health policies, especially the Alyne Network, National Policy for Integral Women's Healthcare, and National Curriculum Guidelines for Health Residency. * **Behavioral competencies:** * Humanized leadership; Systems thinking; Effective communication; Strategic vision and planning; Evidence-based decision-making capacity; Flexibility and adaptability. **Additional information** Founded on February 21, 1937 by Professor José Silveira, the José Silveira Foundation (FJS) has been expanding its work through a process of sustainable growth, grounded in strategic planning and focused on achieving the best outcomes.
