This professional performs tasks that require attention to detail and technical skills to properly operate the equipment. * **Material Handling Equipment Operation** Operate a suspended overhead crane, controlling translation and lifting devices to transport loads within the loading area, in accordance with safety regulations and operational procedures. * **Load Handling and Securing** Inspect the attachment of loads to slings and lifting hooks, ensuring stability and safety during hoisting. Use transport supports ("saddle rigging") when moving plates to prevent breakage and cracking during the process. Raise or lower the lifting device to hoist or place marble and granite slabs, observing the equipment's operational limits. Move the overhead crane along the rails by activating movement controls to reach the loading and/or unloading location.
