




Job Summary: A Mechanic Assistant supports the lead mechanic in maintenance and repair activities for machines and equipment, performing tasks such as part replacement, adjustments, and other operations related to machinery functionality. Key Highlights: 1. Assisting in corrective and preventive maintenance of various machines. 2. Assembling and disassembling equipment to identify defects. 3. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment. The Mechanic Assistant is responsible for supporting the lead mechanic in maintenance and repair activities for machines and equipment. This professional performs part replacements, adjustments, and other tasks related to machinery operation. Manual dexterity and basic knowledge of industrial mechanics are essential. **Main Responsibilities:** * Assist in corrective and preventive maintenance of polishers, overhead cranes, resin ovens, and conventional and multifilament looms (bearings, connecting rods, sprinklers, and bushings). * Assist in the complete or partial disassembly and assembly of machines and equipment using appropriate tools to identify causes of defects, perform cleaning, or replace damaged parts and components. * Assist in lubricating chains, shafts, bearings, gears, and other moving parts of machines and equipment according to technical specifications, applying oil or grease at designated lubrication points. * Wash parts using diesel oil, following safety guidelines. * Assist in electric welding with coated electrodes and oxy-fuel cutting on parts undergoing maintenance or refurbishment. * Assist in manufacturing and assembling protective grilles and triangular sawhorses for supporting granite and/or marble slabs. * Maintain the workplace clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. **Conduct and Behavior:** * Maintain a professional attitude, comply with safety regulations, and contribute to a respectful and organized work environment. * Comply with safety regulations, use PPE correctly, and take care of equipment and the workplace. * Act ethically, responsibly, and orderly, maintaining good relationships with colleagues and supervisors. * Demonstrate proactivity, punctuality, and commitment to departmental goals and routines. * Comply with company policies, act ethically and responsibly, maintain proper conduct, and support smooth operational execution.
