Elementary School Teacher I
**Job Summary**
The professional will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing the teaching\-learning process for students in the early years of Elementary Education (Grades 1 through 5), performing a versatile role across various subject areas (Portuguese Language, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, etc.). The goal is to foster students’ holistic development, encouraging critical thinking, autonomy, and the formation of socially conscious citizens, in alignment with the school’s Pedagogical Proposal and the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC).
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
**Pedagogical Planning:**
· Develop and implement the teacher’s work plan, aligned with the school curriculum and current educational guidelines.
· Plan lessons and activities that promote meaningful learning, creativity, and the development of skills and competencies.
· Prepare and select instructional materials and pedagogical resources—including educational technologies—to enrich the teaching process.
**Teaching and Guidance:**
· Deliver theoretical and practical lessons using diverse methods and strategies to accommodate students’ varied learning paces and individual characteristics.
· Ensure students’ learning by guiding and facilitating their active construction of knowledge.
· Foster a welcoming, ethical, and mutually respectful classroom environment that encourages interaction, empathy, and teamwork.
**Assessment and Monitoring:**
· Continuously and formatively assess students’ performance through tests, assignments, observation, and other activities.
· Identify learning difficulties and propose targeted pedagogical interventions to overcome them, ensuring opportunities for remediation.
· Record students’ academic progress and attendance, maintaining up-to-date pedagogical and administrative documentation.
**Engagement with the School Community:**
· Actively participate in pedagogical meetings, grade-level councils, ongoing professional development, and school civic and cultural activities.
· Maintain transparent and effective communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on students’ progress and school activities.
· Collaborate with school leadership, coordination staff, and other personnel to enhance teaching quality and the school’s pedagogical project.
**Required Qualifications and Competencies**
· **Academic Qualification:** Bachelor’s Degree in Pedagogy, with certification for Elementary Education I.
· **Experience:** Prior classroom experience in the early years of Elementary Education is an advantage.

Employment Type: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent CLT Contract
Compensation: R$15.95 \- R$38.47 per hour
