Focus on safety and regulatory compliance **The Seres Group, in partnership with a plastic manufacturing company, is seeking a professional for the role of Maintenance Manager** **Responsibilities:** The Maintenance Manager at the PET Industry is responsible for planning and managing corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities for factory equipment and facilities. Their role is to ensure all machines and systems operate efficiently and safely, contributing to production continuity and quality. **Key Responsibilities:** 1\. Maintenance Team Management: Coordinate and supervise the maintenance team, defining roles, delegating tasks, and ensuring all team members perform their duties efficiently. Conduct training and continuous development for the maintenance team, promoting technical updates and improvements in operational skills. 2\. Maintenance Planning and Execution: Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all plant equipment, minimizing unplanned downtime and optimizing asset availability. Ensure effective execution of maintenance activities. Perform critical failure analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of operational issues. 3\. Resource and Inventory Management: Manage inventory of spare parts and materials required for maintenance. Control maintenance costs, ensuring efficient use of available financial resources and optimizing expenditures on parts, services, and labor. 4\. Continuous Improvement and Operational Efficiency: Manage and analyze maintenance performance indicators, such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and propose process improvements. Identify and implement maintenance process improvements using management tools such as PM (Preventive Maintenance) and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance). 5\. Project Management and Technological Innovation: Coordinate improvement or expansion projects for facilities, equipment, and systems, implementing new technologies or modernizations in maintenance processes. Oversee installation of new equipment and ensure maintenance processes are appropriate from the implementation phase. 6\. Workplace Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all maintenance procedures strictly comply with occupational safety standards and applicable environmental regulations. Promote a safety culture by conducting training on the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety procedures. 7\. Performance Analysis and Reporting: Analyze equipment and system performance reports, providing feedback to the maintenance team and factory management. Prepare periodic reports on maintenance performance. 8\. Contract and Supplier Management: Manage third-party service contracts related to maintenance, such as spare parts suppliers, consulting firms, or specialized service providers. Negotiate timelines, costs, and terms with suppliers. **Knowledge Requirements:** In-depth knowledge of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance processes, along with experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Knowledge of team management, cost control, and maintenance planning. Familiarity with industrial safety standards, environmental regulations, and best maintenance practices. Basic understanding of inventory control and supplier management. **Mandatory Requirements:** Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering or related fields; Solid experience in maintenance management within industrial environments, preferably in plastic transformation industries or large-scale production facilities. **Desirable:** Postgraduate studies or specializations in Maintenance Management or related areas are advantageous.
