Requirements: We are seeking a Software Architect with strong experience in legacy system modernization to support the transformation of PowerBuilder-based applications into a modern .NET architecture hosted on AWS cloud. This professional will play a strategic role in defining the target architecture, modernization roadmap, and providing technical guidance to involved squads. **Responsibilities** Lead legacy system modernization initiatives (PowerBuilder or similar) Define target architecture based on .NET (preferably .NET Core/.NET 6\+) Drive AWS migration strategies (Lift\-and\-Shift, Refactor, or Rebuild) Define architectural best practices (DDD, microservices, APIs) Support technical decisions regarding legacy refactoring, rewriting, or encapsulation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical alignment Define standards for observability, scalability, and resilience in the cloud Serve as a technical reference for developers and technical leaders **Technical Requirements** Solid experience as a Software Architect or Senior Tech Lead Proven experience in legacy system modernization Experience with .NET (C\#, .NET Core, REST APIs) Experience with AWS cloud (architecture, services, and best practices) Knowledge of distributed architectures (microservices, event\-driven) Experience with system integration and APIs Knowledge of migration strategies (Strangler Pattern, Replatform, etc.) Familiarity with containers (Docker) and orchestration (EKS/Kubernetes) * **Preferred Qualifications** Prior experience with PowerBuilder or similar legacy technologies Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, SNS) Experience in financial environments / high-complexity systems AWS or architecture certifications
