Our goal is clear: to be Brazil’s best mining company, and we know this is only possible by investing in the people who build this future with us, every day. **Do you identify with this?** **We are seeking an EXPLORATION MANAGER** responsible for leading mineral exploration activities in greenfield and brownfield projects, focusing on identification, evaluation, and development of exploration targets. Strategic involvement in planning and executing drilling programs, cost management, resource allocation, technical team leadership, and monitoring of exploration KPIs. Responsible for developing mineral research plans and budgets, evaluating new deposits with economic potential, coordinating technical reports to ANM (National Mining Agency), and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. All applications must be submitted exclusively through our official channels.** **Responsibilities and duties*** Support target generation in greenfield and brownfield stages. * Support identification, testing, and delineation of exploration targets. * Develop and implement strategic exploration plans for targets at early and advanced stages, including cost management, drilling programs, people development, and resource allocation. * Direct and supervise identification and evaluation of new mineral deposits with potential for economic and/or industrial development. * Lead and contribute to Ero’s value creation chain by preparing mineral research plans, budgets, and technical justifications for forecasting exploration activity costs. Monitor budgets and report their status, preventing overspending or underspending. * Manage, monitor, and evaluate exploration KPIs (e.g., drilling targets, new resources, etc.). * Plan, manage, and supervise all geological research activities of the exploration team, serving as the technical reference in geology. * Supervise, prepare, and submit accurate, timely reports to ANM (National Mining Agency). * Serve as the primary point of contact with internal and external stakeholders, as required. * Promote a “Safety First” culture within the exploration team and implement Environment, Health, Safety, and Community (EHSC) systems, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and processes. * Drive adoption of automation, new technologies, artificial intelligence, digitalization, advanced analytics, and data-driven optimization to increase efficiency in generating new exploration targets and reduce drill-spacing uncertainty in advanced projects. * Ensure knowledge of and compliance with mining rights and environmental regulations, including procedures with public agencies. **Requirements and qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Geology. * More than 10 years’ experience in mineral exploration, including at least 3 years in management roles. * Intermediate to fluent English proficiency. * Proven experience in target generation, brownfield and greenfield (grassroots) exploration. **Skills and competencies** * Strong project management skills to manage multiple exploration fronts and supervise licensing processes. * Solid analytical and technical evaluation skills for project feasibility analysis. * Excellent negotiation skills, especially in dealings with landowners, government and regulatory agencies. * Knowledge of NI 43\-101 standards for sampling and reporting of mineral resources. * Extensive experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC), including fundamentals of geometallurgy. * Proven experience in mineral exploration, preferably of base metals. * In-depth knowledge of magmatic deposits, including those hosted in mafic\-ultramafic rocks. * Strong communication skills, ensuring understanding and alignment of the exploration strategy across the organization. * Act as a safety advocate at all times, promoting a robust safety culture among team members. **Additional information** * Competitive salary * Profit-sharing plan (PLR) * Private pension plan * Health insurance * Dental insurance * On-site meals (at operational units) * Meal voucher (at offices) * Food allowance * Transportation * Quality of Life Program * Gympass – Wellhub * Extended Maternity and Paternity Leave (Citizen Company) * Club membership agreement — may vary by location * Eyewear purchase assistance for family members #### **We are ERO, one of Brazil’s leading copper and gold producers.** **We are part of a global group headquartered in Canada with a strong presence in Brazil.
