




Job Summary: The Vehicle Inspector is responsible for inspecting vehicles and containers, ensuring safety and hygiene, preparing cargo for shipment, and assisting with general warehouse services. Vehicle Inspector (m/f/d) In this position, you will report directly to the Area Leader. Responsibilities:* Daily receive information from the leader regarding the type of packaging to be shipped. * Inspect vehicles, paying attention to hygiene and safety conditions according to procedures; guide vehicle maneuvering for loading. * Instruct the driver on the correct positioning of the container for inspection. * Ensure that container doors, when open, are locked to prevent accidents during truck movement in the yard. * Conduct a visual inspection of the container to check for damage such as holes and dents. Verify that locking mechanisms meet required standards. * Check for abnormal odors and immediately report them to the leader or immediate supervisor if detected. * Verify that container locks and sealing gaskets meet appropriate standards. * Complete the digital checklist (via tablet) according to required shipping standards. * After approval of the visual inspection, line the container with kraft paper if specified in the shipping instructions. Install bulk liners for bulk cargo loading. * Occasionally assist with general tasks of simple nature within the area, including operating a forklift (if certified) for material handling, opening bags arriving on forklifts for dumping into machinery or loading, tapping, cleaning, folding, and tying bags for reuse, etc. * Assist in closing equipment doors for vehicle release (occasionally, when necessary). * Perform other job-related tasks as directed by the supervisor.
